As the youngest of four children in his family Depp was born on June 9 1963 in Kentucky but he was raised in Florida. At the age of 12 Depp began playing in various garage bands with a guitar given by his mother a waitress. However when he was 15 his parents divorced and his mother remarried. In this period Johnny Depp engaged in self-harm due to the stress of dealing with family problem. A year after his parents’ divorce Depp dropped out of high school to become a rock musician. He attempted to go back to school two weeks later but the principal told him to follow his dream of being a musician.
